About Us

Contacts Magic is built by a husband-and-wife team of engineers. Not software engineers by training — chemical and electrical — but people who like solving hard problems across disciplines. That's the idea behind our company, Disparate Elements.

This app started as a personal frustration. One of us is naturally great at remembering the details — who said what, how someone's doing, what happened at the last doctor's appointment. The other is not. This app is for the other one.

For years, the idea sat on a shelf because the technology wasn't there. Notes apps don't organize themselves. Reminders don't understand context. Nothing pulled it all together around the people you care about.

Then modern language processing caught up. We realized we could build something where you just talk — ramble after a phone call with your parents, mention that a friend's kid started a new school, say "remind me to check in next week" — and the app would figure out the rest. Who you're talking about, what matters, when things happened. That's the magic in Contacts Magic.

We built this for ourselves first. We use it to keep up with aging parents, to be more thoughtful friends, to remember the things that matter to the people we care about. We think it can do the same for you.

A note on privacy: We take it seriously enough that we don't put our own names on this website. The information you capture in Contacts Magic — your parents' health updates, your friends' milestones, the small details of the people you love — is personal. We treat your data the way we'd want ours treated.
